The animated film Matti’s Secret can be used in class as a picture book with the added features of spoken words, music and sound effects. This short film presents the subject of "personal privacy" through a situation taken from the daily lives of children. It deals with keeping secrets and the guarding of personal information. The lesson presents the challenge of the proper handling of personal privacy and of handling mistakes in one's own actions. The medium of film provides the children with a connection to the topic of personal privacy through emotions.
There is also illustrated "making-of" material to aid in the development of the children's understanding of media.
